Volunteers of the Watermark Plan pose for a photo with local students in a primary school in Wenchuan, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan Province on October 31.
Representatives from China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF), Xylem China and Chengdu Show You Non-Profit Development Center, as well as volunteers, visited beneficiaries of the Watermark Plan in Southwest China's Sichuan Province on October 31.
The Watermark Plan, which was initiated by the CWDF and global water technology solutions provider Xylem, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
The first stop of their tour was a village in the Tianfu New Area in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, where they attended a completion ceremony for a charity water supply project.
Thanks to the plan, six households now get access to safe water, with the equipment and facilities worth 10,000 yuan (US $1,434) supplied by Xylem and some other organizations.
The completion ceremony of a water supply facility built for six households is held in Taoyuan Village in the Tianfu New Area in Chengdu on October 31.

Then the delegation went to Wolong Primary School in Wenchuan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture and announced the renovation of the clean water supply facilities for the 216 students there.
They also offered a lecture on sanitation and health and handed out thermal bottles to the children as gifts before installing water-purifying equipment.
The students drew pictures on the theme of water and environmental protection, which will be kept in Xylem's collection.

Xylem has been integrating public welfare into its corporate culture and bringing in more forces to join its charity efforts.
It has designated every October to be a global month-long service campaign, encouraging employees to take part in water-involved activities which benefit society.
The Watermark Plan, initiated by the company in 2009, has given a helping hand to ensure clean water for people short of safe drinking water. By the end of 2018, it had carried out charity projects in 109 schools, benefiting a total of 61,124 people.
